The integrated and comprehensive gastroentrology services are available at Regency hospital which include medical and surgical-gastroentrological facilities. The unit is managed by specialist Gastroentrologists and Surgical Gastroentrologist who have been trained at Prestigeous Medical Institutions and Hospitals. The medical gastroentrological unit offers endoscopic procedure like upper GI endoscopy, Sclerotheraphy, CBD stone extraction and stenting and percutaneus procedures like Pseudocyst drainage, abdominal abscess drainage, biliary drainage (PTBD). Complicated GI surgical procedures like laproscopic surgery, surgery for hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders, Sphincter saving colorectal surgery, GI oncolgical surgery, Reconstructive and postoperative abdominal surgery and abdominal trauma management are being regularly performed by our Surgical Gastroentrologist.

Achievements

*  Over last five years have performed nearly 2000 endoscopic procedures i.e. UGIE and colonoscopy for diagnostic and herapeutic purposes, including intraoperative endoscopy.
*  Nearly 10000 ERCP done for diagnosis or management of jaundice or pancreatits.
*  Minimal access laparoscopic surgery done for gall bladder, hernia and appendicular diseases.
*  Performing as a team to manage all GI emergencies like UGI bleed, pancreatitis and its complications, reoperations and hepatobiliary diseases.
*  Routinely perform Whipples surgery for GI malignancies.
