The Neonatal Unit comprises a state-of-'the-art
8 bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which meets international
standards.
There are full time consultants at Regency Hospital Neonatal Intensive
care unit. and is supported by a team of qualified doctors who
are available round-the-clock and specially trained nurses to deal
with any unexpected emergencies and premature newborns.

Pediatrics
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit( level III)

the clock.

Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology:
The hospital has the first Pediatric Endocrinology Unit in the private sector in the state. The unit provides outpatient and in patient care to neonates, children and adolescents with complex hormonal disorders. Important conditions managed by the specialty include children with growth disorders, diabetes mellitus including diabetic ketoacidosis, obesity, thyroid disorders (low and high thyroid hormone levels), bone disorders (rickets, weak bones), calcium disorders (low and high calcium levels), early and delayed puberty, gynecomastia (breast enlargement in boys), hirsuitism (excessive facial growth in girls), genital ambiguity and polyuria (increased urination). The unit provides outpatient consultations daily with round the clock in patient care.
The salient features of the unit include:

including educational resources, pediatric dietitians and diabetic
educators.
2. Weekly obesity clinic with multi-disciplinary approach including
endocrinologists, dietitians, physical trainers and behavioral
therapists.
3. Rapid and high throughput machine for all hormone assays allowing
rapid processing of samples.
4. Facilities for all dynamic endocrine tests including Growth
Hormone Stimulation test, water deprivation test, ACTH stimulation
test and GnRH agonist test
5. Education modules for chronic endocrine disorders like congenital
adrenal hyperplasia, precocious puberty, hypothyroidism and rickets.
6. Neonatal screening program for hypothyroidism for timely detection

Pediatric Hematology :
Pediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology:
The hospital has the only pediatric department in the state with Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecologist. The specialty provides care to young girls with gynecological disorders~ike congenial malformations of the reproductive tract, genital swelling and infections in girls, genital trauma, menstrual disorders (excessive or too little periods), polycystic ovarian disease and complex uterine and ovarian disorder~ The unit, closely related to the Departments of Pediatrics and Reproductive Medicine, provides excellent facilities for surgical management of complex gynecological conditions like cervical agenesis, genital ambiguity and complex ovarian cyst.

Round the clock pediatric surgeon available for all kinds of pediatric and neonatal surgeries.
Preventive pediatrics:
A well baby clinic runs every Tuesday and Friday for advice regarding diet, nutrition and vaccination of the children.
Pediatric disability rehabilitation:
A full Fledged physical and mental rehabilition department manned by a rehabilitation psychologist, speech therapist, and a physiotherapist.
Early identification and early Psychological intervention applies to the children of school age or younger who are discovered to have or be at risk of developing a handicapping condition or other special need that may affect their development. It is applicable to the children with developmental delays, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Disability, Emotional Problem and Children with Learning Disabilities. It is the process of providing psychological services, education and support to young children who are deemed to have an established condition, those who are evaluated and deemed to have a diagnosed physical or mental condition (with a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay), an existing delay or a child who is *at-risk of developing a delay or special need that may affect their development or impede their education.
